Brief Biography

Lionel Andrés Messi Cuccittini, or also known like Leo, Lio, "El Mesías" and "La Pulga", is son of a Factory worker and a  half-time cleaner.

He was born in June, 24th of 1987 in Rosario, Argentina.

He has a two brothers and one sister, two of his cousins are football players. He has Italian  offspring from his father.

When he was 5 years old he gave his first steps like  football player in the Grandoli Club, near his house. In 1995 started to train in the lower division of Newell’s old boys where he won cup of the friendship of Perú in 1997.

When he was 11 years old, he was diagnosed with a deficiency of the hormone of growth.

The River Club became interested in Messi but they wouldn´t pay the treatment of his disease, in return the FC Barcelona said yes to paying it.

Messi started to play in lower categories when was 13 years old in the FC Barcelona.

Now he has a relation with Antonella Ruccoso, he had a son with her named Thiayo Messi, born in November 24^th in 2012.

Charity

In 2007 Messi made a foundation called “Leo Messi”, which helps children´s in situations of risk, Messi´s goal is to work with other countries with this project to expand the foundation.

Via the foundation Messi has been able to build playgrounds, and also rehabilitate organizations and charities, etc.

 
Messi usually is involved in charities, for example games friendships with fundraising, donations and solidary visits. Apart of the foundation, he helps the FC Barcelona and the UNICEF, where he was recognized as an ambassador of goodwill in 2012.

Career

Messi is considered for many sports organisms, trainers and other football players as the best football player of the world.

He received the prize to the best football player of the world by the FIFA in 2009 and the golden ball in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

He beated many records in the FC Barcelona as the maximum scorer of the history of club, the second maximum scorer in spanish football history and the foreign player with more disputed matches.

His first debut in an oficial match was in the FC Barcelona in 2004/2005 in the league before the RCP Spain.

At the age of 17 he was the youngest football player playing a game in the Spanish PD.

In the season 2008/2009 he annotated 38 goals.

In the season 2009/2010 he annotated  40 goals, but 34 were in the league, for this he won the ball of gold, and equal the register of Ronaldo of 1996/1998.

In the season 2012/2013 he beated a record Guiness for his 91 officials goals, he won the ball of gold for fourth time consecutive and the boot of gold for third time.

Our Opinion

Lionel Messi is a very important football player and he is worried.
We think that is very good thet the famous people do these things, Messi helps so much with his foundation for the public hospital for kids in Rosario, but we think that the famous people donate to charities to have more fame and that this are ideas of their managers. Lionel Messi is only one of ,not to many, famous people that do care and support the causes.
